Cheers to the Volunteers!

Celebrations took place on Wednesday to recognize volunteers that put forth a total of 465 hours during the summer season.

Lori treated her volunteers to an enjoyable afternoon of tours at the Rose Garden at Eisenhower Park, SK Designs and ended the tour with desserts and drinks from Mr. K's Farmhouse and Amanda's Bakery & Bistro at the Seeleye Mansion.

Barn quilt

We got one of the first of our Eisenhower Quilt Trail barn quilts up for display (at my work). Visit also Kansas Flint Hills Quilt Trail for barn quilts around the area. Aren't they so cool & totally Americana?

Brrr...

What Mother Nature brings for our winter enjoyment! Makes us glad we have Polled Hereford cattle. But whatever the breed of cattle or specie of livestock, I'm confident that extra care & chores have been the order of the day(s). For 2014 I hope we all can be even better advocates for agriculture.  Our future depends on our image to consumers. Keep warm!
